Description
Took some time to take a photo of my A3 sized drawing before I had to take it to the university. It's sad that we don't get them back
The task was to read this poem that used the 4 seasons of the year as a metaphor for human life. How, just like human life, the seasons keep on going and changing no matter how much you would want to stay still.
I picked the spring, when the love starts to bloom. The poem tells us to not be scared of the summer of happiness and the occasional rainy days. They are going to happen anyway no matter how you would want to stay still. It was my choice because the poem speaks to me. I had a vision where a person is lying on the ground, and just watching how the rays of sunlight bring the color back into the world.
The spring and summer parts of the poem goes somehow like this:
[FIN]
ja maahan kun jäät makaamaan
saat nähdä, taivaan siivoojat
tanssivat, säteilevät.
On kevät, on kevät.
Ja suotta kesää skagaamaan,
se tulee taas, ja takaamaan
saat mustan kaatosateen,
ja hermot jos se näivettää,
voi toinen päivä päivettää
vatsasi paksun pateen.
[EN]
And when you keep on lying on the ground,
you can see the cleaners of the sky
dancing and glowing.
It is spring, it is spring.
and there's no need to be afraid of summer
It'll come again and for sure,
you'll get a black downpour.
and if it wilts your nerves
can another day tan
your stomachs thick pâté*
*(A finely-ground paste of meat, game, fish or vegetables, sometimes with the addition of alcohol.)
[And as deep as you think the poem is, I hated it. I HAAAAATED IT! I hate poems that use Helsinki's slang because I have no idea what the hell it means. Plus I think that just shows that the writer was lazy because he didn't want to start thinking a rhyme for the actual word.]

I still think that this is just beautiful. I love everything about it. The entire picture just screams "beautiful spring day."
I wish you were allowed to do your entry work in digital, though. I know it's your medium of choice, and I imagine you could've made this even better.
But all the same, it's still just.... wow!
